De Havilland DH.104 Dove

One of the most elegant Airliners ever produced, the Dove had its first flight on September 25th 1945.
542 were produced until 1967 and it became one of the most successful British airliners.
The example seen here - photographed at the end of the 1980' s - is G-ARDE “Sir Geoffrey De Havilland".
This particular machine is no longer flying, as it is hanging from the ceiling in the Al Mahatta Aviation Museum, painted as 'G-AJPR'...

Photos were scanned from old negatives and needed some serious restoration work.
